Ahmedabad: It is known as The 'Manchester of the East'. It was once ruled by Ahmed Shah, after whom the city has been named Ahmedabad. It has many 15th century monuments which display a fine blend of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles.
Sabarmati Ashram: This place is the biggest attraction in Ahmedabad. It is the Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi and is situated on the bank of river Sabarmati. It is from this place that he started the famous 'Dandi March'.
Dwarka: The holy town of Dwarka near river Gomti and the Arabian Sea is associated with the legend of Lord Krishna. This is one of the most sought after places for the Hindu pilgrims.
