Kurukshetra: This place is about 160 km away from Delhi along the national highway number 1. The place is famous for being the battle ground between the Pandavas and the Kauravas as mentioned in the Mahabharata. It is at this place where Lord Krishna gave Arjuna the lessons of Karma and Dharma. Later these teachings formed the great 'Bhagwat Gita'.
Panipat: Among the tourist attractions in Haryana, Panipat is also an important place. Three famous battles of Panipat remain important landmarks in the history of India. The first war between Babar and Ibrahim Lodhi paved the way for the establishment of the great Mughal Empire in India.
