- Vantawng Water Falls – These falls are situated at a distance of 137 kilometers from Aizawl. These are the highest, largest and among the glorious falls in Mizoram being surrounded by lush green forests with bamboo trees. The fall is 750 feet high, providing a blinding beauty.
- Phawngui – “Phawngui” means Blue Mountain. It is the highest mountain peak in Mizoram. Blue Mountain is believed to be the abode of Gods to whom people of Mizoram offer annual sacrifices. A flat ground of 200 hectares is there at the top of this mountain. The entire ground is surrounded by beautiful trees, orchids, matted bamboo groves, rare flora species and rhododendrons. All these provide an amazing beauty to this landscape.
- Lunglei – It is the district headquarter and the second largest town of Mizoram. Lunglei is about 235 kilometers from Aizawl. The Buddha’s image near Mualchung village was discovered near the town of Lunglei.
- Pukzing Cave – This cave is 25 kilometers wide. It is said that this cave was carved out with the help of a hairpin by a tough man called “Mualzavata”.
- Palak Lake – It is one of the best tourist attractions in Mizoram. Palak Lake is located in the south of Mizoram state. Being the most beautiful lake in the world, it attracts huge number of tourists in and out of the country. You will get to enjoy the sight of different categories of aquatic birds and different species of ducks. The surrounding areas of the lake form a suitable habitation for wild animals like; tiger, wild pig, bear, deer and various other species.
- Mizoram State Museum – This gives you and insight into the Mizo culture, tradition and history. Though small in size it bears things which are rarely found elsewhere.
